The last vice-king of India, Lord Mountbatten, sought to transfer British India to independence, but faced conflicts on a varied side due to major changes. New Delhi in March 1947. The large and noble Palace of Viceroys is like a hive. five hundred workers are preparing for the arrival of Lord Louis Mountbetten, appointed by the Prime Minister Clement Attlee to the new (and last) prime minister of India.
